• Sleep data: bedtime logs, wake-up times, sleep duration, and sleep quality scores
• Morning routine data: routine tasks, completion status, and grogginess levels
• Voice notes: audio recordings you create for morning motivation (stored securely)
• Alarm settings: alarm times, sounds, gentle nudge preferences, and recurring schedules
• Feedback: any feedback, comments, or attachments you submit through the app
• Waitlist information: email address and name if you join our waitlist

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and personalize the Binate app experience
• Track your sleep patterns and generate quality analytics
• Deliver alarms, gentle nudges, and morning routine reminders
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send product updates and notifications you opt into
• Monitor app performance and fix issues via error tracking (Sentry)
• Improve our product based on aggregated, anonymized usage data

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade security with row-level security (RLS) policies and encrypted connections. Sensitive data like alarm settings are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. Your data is stored in data centers that comply with industry security standards.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Binate:

• Supabase: database and authentication
• Apple App Store / Google Play: payment processing (we do not store your card details)
• Sentry: error tracking and performance monitoring
• Resend: transactional email delivery
• Expo: app build and push notification delivery

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the service providers listed above, solely to operate the app. These providers are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your personal data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for product improvement purposes.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

Our website uses local storage only to remember your theme preference. The mobile app uses on-device encrypted storage for alarm settings and preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

Binate is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
